2024 Benefit Auction

Artspace is a leading independent, not-for-profit contemporary art space on Gadigal land in Woolloomooloo, Sydney. Artspace supports artists to produce and present ambitious new works at pivotal moments in their careers, and champions artistic risk and experimentation through its diverse multi-platform artistic program. 

We receive funding from the Federal Government through Creative Australia and from the New South Wales (NSW) State Government through Create NSW. This is supplemented by the invaluable contributions of our dedicated community of collaborators, partners, and benefactors. 

In December 2023, Artspace celebrated the reopening of the historic Gunnery building after a major capital redevelopment. The building transformation offers exciting new platforms for artist commissions, expanded exhibition and education spaces, upgraded artist studios, and an enhanced visitor experience. This renewal establishes a significant new era for Artspace and its artistic program that requires substantial investment.

Artspace’s inaugural 2024 Gala Fundraiser and Benefit Auction is a key fundraising activity to add capacity to our multi-platform approach to artistic programming. The Benefit Auction features over 30 artworks generously donated by a diverse range of artists who have been part of the Artspace community and programs over the past ten years. The Benefit Auction celebrates our esteemed artist alumni and will directly support future initiatives for the production and presentation of contemporary art.

Bid online for artworks and experiences via Givergy. The Benefit Auction will go live Friday 20 September, 5pm AEST and closes on 27 September, 8.45pm AEST. 

Join us at the opening reception of the auction preview on 20 September, 6-8pm. The auction will be on view until 22 September.

All funds raised by the 2024 Artspace Gala Fundraiser and Benefit Auction will go towards supporting Artspace’s upcoming artistic programs.
