from moment to moment to moment is a solo exhibition of works by artist Rachael Helmore. Spanning important periods of Helmore’s career, it features performance, video, drawing and collage. The exhibition is an exploration of time – both fleeting and fixed – investigating the ways we physically, emotionally and mentally map our surroundings. It contemplates how we traverse and collectively share space from moment to moment to moment.

Helmore was a recorder, seeking to capture elusive encounters of everyday life and the world around her. Her body of work focused on intuitive and observational processes. Recording and translating interactions between people, objects and landscapes, she evolved her own visual language, which sought to understand the urban and natural spaces people inhabit and move through.

Exploring memory and trace, Helmore’s artistic practice makes visible the intangible forces that connect us. Looking out to look in, her works draw careful attention to gentle and more subtle exchanges between the external world and our internal selves.  from moment to moment to moment invites audiences to share her investigations and navigations into what is seen and what is not, bringing an embodied awareness to our relationships with place, time and movement.
