Anthea Behm

Anthea Behm received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and BFA (First Class Honours) from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales. Behm’s work has been exhibited and screened at Socrates Sculpture Park, New York; The Dedalus Foundation, New York; Smack Mellon, New York; NADA, Miami Beach; the Frye Art Museum, Seattle; Vox Populi, Philadelphia; the Centre for Contemporary Art, Singapore; the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki; and the Australian Centre for Photography, Sydney. Upcoming is a group exhibition at the Kadist Foundation, San Francisco (curated by Hamza Walker), as well as a solo exhibition at Minerva, Sydney. Behm has participated in the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program, the Core Program, Museum of Fine Art Houston, and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Her writing has been published in Feminism Reframed: Reflections on Art and Difference, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, and she is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Art and Art History at the University of Florida.
