The Printed Matter Curated Shelf is the first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, expanding a network of art institutions worldwide, including the Walker Art Centre in Minneapolis, committed to supporting artists' books as an affordable and accessible medium.
Founded in 1976, Printed Matter, Inc. is the world’s leading non-profit organisation dedicated to the dissemination, understanding and appreciation of artists' books and related publications. The Curated Shelf presents a historical survey of artists’ books from the 1970s to the present that are available for sale. The selection will underscore the diversity of themes, styles, forms and approaches that artists have used in engaging the editioned book as their medium.
