Join us at Artspace Sydney for a FREE public event hosted by #20BOS artist, Cécile B. Evans and the Biennale of Sydney.

Feeling For You is an ongoing, frequently updated performance lecture by Cécile B. Evans that reverse engineers the artist’s practice through a series of personal anecdotes, google searches, images, and video clips. Meandering through the last few years of Evans’ work, the talk follows the same ‘hyperlinked’ logic used in recent projects like Hyperlinks or It Didn’t Happen or AGNES. Touching on the impacting (and historical) rise of technology and the disorienting feedback loops it creates within society, Evans takes the opportunity to question the last few years of her own work and introduce a ‘New Phase of Research’.

Cécile B. Evans is visiting Sydney in preparation for the 20th Biennale of Sydney, opening 18 March 2016 at venues across Sydney. Works by the artist will be exhibited at the Embassy of the Real on Cockatoo Island. The 30-minute performance lecture will be followed by a Q&A.
