Artspace Exhibition Opening & Art Month Closing Party

Artspace Exhibition Opening & Art Month Closing Party
When | Sunday 29 March, 3pm – 6pm
Location | Artspace, Ground Floor

Overview

Art Month and Artspace present the Art Month closing Party. Celebrate with a drink and enjoy open artist studios and the exhibition opening of
'An Imprecise Science', a significant group exhibition of work by Australian and international artists.

Grab a sneak peek at works in progress by Artspace studio residents as they open the doors to their studios for informal afternoon studio tours with Artspace Curators, Sebastian Goldspink and Talia Linz. Check out open studios by Khadim Ali, Hany Armanious, Kelly Doley, Nick Dorey, Mikala Dwyer, Clare Milledge, Tim Silver, Michelle Ussher, Kirsten Nelson (Canada), Eve Fowler (USA).

Check out the reimagined space as the program for 2015 is launched with the opening of 'An Imprecise Science' curated by Alexie Glass-Kantor with Talia Linz. The thirteen artists in the exhibition represent a cross-generational collective, none of whom have previously shown work at Artspace before. The artworks congeal and seep into the crevices of the building’s architecture to prompt a reawakening of a familiar space that is at once both public and highly personal.

Prior to our launch Artspace and Performance Space are pleased to present a lecture from Esa Nickle, Producing Director and Manager of International Affairs at PERFORMA as part of the PSpace 2015 International Lecture Series. Following the success of RoseLee Goldberg’s monumental lecture in 2014, Esa will provide further insight into one of the world’s foremost multidisciplinary art events.
